With SharePoint Column Protector you can quickly and easily define which fields of a list item are visible for specific users and what data can be edited by them.


By default MOSS2007 / WSS 3.0 allows you to manage permissions per list element.
SharePoint Column Protector goes deeper and allows you to protect your data on per column basis. Permissions for columns are defined for each content type for any SharePoint list or document library. Permissions are effective for forms and data exported to Excel.

The product is available with license per each front-end server (WFE) on which MOSS 2007 or WSS 3.0 service is running. Server is a physical hardware system on which the software is being run.
